Patriot Golf Day is September 4-7, 2009
During Patriot Golf Day this year, please consider donating $1 to the Folds of Honor Foundation when you come out to play golf. This money, 100%, will go to support families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of duty. Sparked by the vision and dedication of PGA Professional Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot, the inaugural Patriot Golf Day raised more than $1.1 million in under two months last year.
L.C.'s Grille...New Operating Hours
Beginning next Tuesday, September 8th, L.C.'s Grille will be open from 10 AM~2 PM Monday-Thursday. Breakfast biscuits and croissants will be available in the proshop refrigerator for your breakfast needs. A microwave will be conveniently located for heating. Coffee will continue to be available as well. L.C.'s will continue the same operting hours on the weekends, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, from 7 AM ~ 3 PM.
We have placed a refrigerator in the proshop for your convenience when checking in for golf. It has been stocked with your favorite bottled drinks, gatorades, beer, and candy bars. Freshly made deli sandwiches (chicken salad, pimento, & egg salad) can also be found in either refrigerator for a quick lunch on the go.
Congratulations to Jim Williams... ~"Staff Member of the Month" ~
Beginning this month, one staff member will be selected each month for their dedication and hard work as "Staff Member of the Month". This month the honors go to our Head Golf Professional, Jim Williams. Jim came on board with Charwood back in December of 2008. Since this time, Jim has ran many company and charity events here at Charwood. He is over the National Junior Golfers Association here in South Carolina and has brought additional income to Charwood by hosting and running these events. Jim is being highly commended for not only his hard work on the Club Championship in August, but also for successfully putting on the 1st Annual L.C. Lucas Junior Championship Golf Tournament. He had over 60 kids participate in the 2-day event! Please take a moment when you see Jim and join us in saying "thank you", not only for his hard work and dedication to his home course, but also for his dedication and service to the members and guests of Charwood Country Club...Thanks Jim!
EVERY Wednesday = Seniors & Ladies Day...
We invite all SENIORS and LADIES to come and play Charwood every Wednesday for only $16! That is $3 off the normal rate for seniors and $13 off the regular rate for ladies under 55... WOW!!!

12th Annual L.C. Lucas Memorial Tournament
The 12th Annual L.C. Lucas Memorial Tournament is planned for Monday, November 2, 2009. It's time to start choosing your 4-man team for this awesome charity event! All proceeds will continue to help those in need in our community with electric bills, groceries, and children have Christmas gifts. Please consider sponsoring a hole for only $100. If you can round up any gifts to donate for raffle prizes, the goody bags, etc. that would be great! Every little bit helps out...
